A discussion with Jovana Timotijevic, Iva čukić and Sonja Dragovic. Three militant researchers who were recently involved in the organization of the publication Spaces of Commoning: Urban Commons in the ex-YU Region. Their book has been a major inspiration for our own platform, in its critical reconceptualisation of the commons within the history of (Yugo) state-socialism and its aftermaths. The publication has also felt generative in its seemingly dynamic effort of connecting diverse initiatives across the region under a Left politics of the commons. In this discussion we hope to learn more about the social process of creating this publication and what the contributors/editors thoughts are on its impacts.
